It was one exciting race at the Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race at the Shell Advance Super Series Nationwide Championships Leg 4 held on June 18 at the Carmona Racetrack. In carrying out Suzuki’s commitment to develop motorsport in the country, Suzuki is bringing in the feel of the highly acclaimed Suzuki Asian Challenge (SAC) to the local racing scene. This is through the Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race which is within the Super Series Nationwide Championships - IR Cup Series (Luzon) and Regional Underbone Grand Prix (Visayas and Mindanao).

19th overall win in dramatic final phase at Le Mans

Stuttgart. At 18:30 on Saturday evening the Le Mans 24-Hours seemed over for the Porsche 919 Hybrid of Earl Bamber (NZ), Timo Bernhard (DE) and Brendon Hartley (NZ). Their car had no front axle drive anymore, was repaired for 1.05 hours and re-joined the race 18 laps behind. But the 85th running of the endurance classic in Le Mans produced such dramatic changes that the impossible ultimately came true: After an enormous effort, the trio sliced through the field from 56th position to overall victory. For Le Mans record holder Porsche, it is the 19th overall win in the world’s toughest race and the third in a row meaning the German manufacturer can now keep the famous trophy.

Wolfgang Egger designs BYD Dynasty prototype

TO deepen its development of electric powertrains and to provide greater green transportation solutions, BYD unveiled the ‘Dynasty’ prototype vehicle created by its new design director Wolfgang Egger in an annual gala. Egger, who used to be the chief designer of Audi and was also connected with Alfa Romeo, will be working with Heinz Keck, who was with Daimler for 20 years as an expert for tuning suspension and steering systems as well as tires for several Smart and Mercedes vehicles.
